Introducing a Townsite After School Club
(Web Posted September 16)

A space for kids to relax, play, do homework, surf the net.

When: Thursdays from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm - Starting Sept. 24th.
Where: Community Hall of St. David and St. Paul Anglican Church at 6310 Sycamore Street, right around the corner from the Patricia Theatre.
How: Kids and/or their parents can sign up at Henderson School office.
Getting there: Students will be met at the school and walked to the church by an After School Club volunteer.
Getting home: Students will walk home, or parents can come and pick them up - After School Club is not responsible for getting students home.

How it works: An After School Club volunteer will meet students at 2:45 p.m. at Henderson school to walk them to the Church. Kids need to sign the list and provide a contact number for their parents - work/cell/home.
There will be a total of 3 volunteers supervising the students from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. A healthy snack will be served.

After School Club is part of the Townsite Intergenerational Program (TIPs), an independent project designed to serve the local community. The program is funded by the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program, and is overseen by a steering committee comprised of members of the community.

We are looking for After-School Club Volunteers! For more information, please contact TIPs Coordinator, Ms. Devon Hanley, 604-414-9373, or by email devonhanley@shaw.ca.
